Born in New York City, U.S.A., Phyllis Weldon was raised in Canada; moved to Trail, B.C. in 1991. Studied at Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Universite du Quebec a Montreal (U.Q.A.M.); an additional year of painting (invitation only) and two years lithograph with Albert Dumouchel (also by invitation). She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including in recent years, Grand Palais, Paris, France; 7th international Bienniel of Humour, Gabrovo, Bulgaria; III & IV Premio de Grabado "Maximo Ramos". Spain: Galerie de l'Epee, Quimper, France.; three itinerant juried exhibitions: 'Action Impression' (Quebec/Ontario 1985-87), 'Pluralite 87/88' (Quebec) and 'Literary Allusions' (Alberta 1994/95).
